Cooking Tips

Roperti turkeys cook faster than regular processed turkeys because they contain no preservatives or chemicals. Here’s a simple recipe to cook a Roperti turkey:

  1. Rub the turkey with olive oil and season inside and out with salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs.

  2. Instead of traditional stuffing, you can try stuffing the turkey with apples, oranges, celery, or onions for a fresh twist.

  3. Add one cup of water to the roaster and cover it with the lid or tightly sealed aluminum foil.

  4. Start cooking at 400°F for one hour, then turn down the temperature to 350°F for the remaining time.

  5. Remove the lid or aluminum foil 30 minutes before the turkey is done to brown it.

  6. You can also cook the turkey at 325°F for about 1½ hours longer than the entire time.

Please note that these cooking times are suggestions and may vary depending on the size of your turkey. It’s always a good idea to use a meat thermometer to ensure your turkey is cooked to the proper internal temperature.

You can come ANY TIME during

YOUR PICK UP DAY.

There is no specific time assigned, we'll be here waiting for you!

How it Works

  • Call us at 734-464-6546 & place your order. Orders are accepted daily.

  • Your order will be available for pick up Friday, March 29. This is essential! We will prepare your turkey the day before, it will not be available if you miss your day, unless you call and let us know before your original pick-up day. We'll do our best to accommodate any advance changes, but due to high demand and limited quantity, changes cannot be guaranteed.

  • On the day of your order, come visit us! We'll have your turkey ready.

  • Store your turkey until preparing in a cool, dry protected place. You will need 24-48 hours to thaw.

Cancellations. Please give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your order. We are a small farm -- when we prepare your order, and you don't come, we've turned away other customers. We want to be here for you in the future and notifying us will really help.
